Our Story

Growing up in the Washington, DC area as a child, I adored the aroma of the many cakes and pies my mom and grandmother prepared. I would love licking the bowl after the batter was completely mixed. I remember, like it was yesterday, how tasty the filling of that sweet potato pie and banana pudding was. I would always watch closely as my mom prepared a dessert to lock down the ingredients in my mind. As I grew older, my passion for baking flourished and I wanted to pursue becoming a cake designer. A Contract Specialist by profession, I realized I have the soul of an artist. Now creating art designs with the gift God has put in my hands to bring you mix ‘n Sweetz Bakury.
